Helton Construction is hiring an experienced Carpenter to join our team building quality custom homes in Fremont County, Colorado. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can deliver high-quality results across multiple phases of residential construction.
This role covers a wide range of carpentry and installation work, including framing, siding, window and door installation, tile installation, cabinet installation, and trim finish work. You will work alongside a dedicated crew on custom home projects from the ground up, contributing to every detail that makes a Helton Construction home stand apart.

Key Responsibilities
- Frame residential structures including walls, floors, and roof systems
- Install exterior siding materials according to manufacturer specifications
- Install windows and exterior doors with proper flashing and weatherproofing
- Perform tile installation for floors, showers, and backsplashes
- Install cabinetry and associated hardware with precision and care
- Complete interior trim and finish carpentry including baseboards, casings, and crown molding
Knowledge | Skills | Abilities Desired
- Proven experience in residential construction with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Solid understanding of wood frame construction and building envelope details
- Proficient in the safe operation of hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for clean, finished results
- Positive attitude, effective communication, and the ability to work as part of a team
- Good time management and organizational skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Proven experience in residential construction or remodeling
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in cold and hot weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Fremont County, Colorado
Location & Work Environment
Cañon City, Colorado / Fremont County. We generally work in locations in and around Fremont County, Colorado. We work in a cold-weather climate during a good portion of the year. You must understand that "It's too cold" is not a valid excuse for missing work. Get some cold-weather gear to keep you warm!
